Raspberries & Marmalade are how these luscious Gin + Tonics get made!

When life hands you lemons, and you're caught raspberry red-handed, just tell them "Marmalade made me do it!". We swapped out some pretty pivotal elements to the classic Gin + Tonic, but we think you can still jam to this riff!

Morsels and Mixology created a Spring season series of a classic favorite, The Gin + Tonic. Using NOLET'S Silver Gin, crafted with real botanicals, we updated the classic Gin + Tonic equation for the modern age while highlighting NOLET'S Silver's 3 signature botanicals: Peach, Rose, and Raspberry! Check out all of our modern infusions of the classic Gin + Tonic and don't forget to pick up a bottle of the inimitable NOLET'S Silver Gin.

Gin + Tonic Marmal-ADE Recipe

A Gin + Tonic without tonic water? "How!?", you ask. We sweetened up this Gin + Tonic deal with our very own Lemon + Tonic marmalade. Marmalade, usually bittersweet, is the perfect addition to gin offering the citric punch of lemon while still promising the bitter and refreshing bite of tonic water.

Fresh raspberries add a tart and zappy addition to a libation that will remind you of lemonade on a hot day!

Our Lemon + Tonic Marmalade is easy-peasy lemon-squeezy! With just a little patience, and a lot of lemons, you will have yourself a jar of sunshine in no time at all! Be careful though, everyone might act real jelly around you!

Here's what you will need:

  1. 4 lemons

  2. 2 cups of water

  3. 1 1/2 cups of sugar

  4. 1/2 cup of tonic syrup

  5. Mason jars

  6. Club Soda

  7. Fresh Raspberries

  8. Ice Cubes

  9. Balloon or Burgundy glass

  10. Bar spoon

Instructions:

  1. Cut lemons lengthwise into 4 quadrants. Thin slice each quadrant to form small triangular lemon slices. Remove all seeds.

  2. Combine lemon with rind intact, water, and sugar in a large pot and bring to a boil while mashing the lemons apart

  3. Bring pot to medium heat, cover, and continue to simmer for 45 minutes on very low heat, sporadically mixing.

  4. Take the pot off heat and allow lemon mixture to cool completely.

  5. Mix Tonic syrup into cooled lemon mixture and spoon into mason jars for storage.

  6. Add 1 Tbsp. of Lemon + Tonic Marmalade and 2 oz. of NOLET'S Silver Gin to a shaker with ice and shake.

  7. Double Strain shaker over ice cubes into a Balloon or Burgundy glass and stir with bar spoon.

  8. Top with 5-6 oz. of club soda.

  9. Garnish with fresh raspberries and lemon wheels.
